Revival : Eroscopy
Edit: Full view, please. It's about 630KB. I can't set the reduced-view image.
>> The original Eroscopy had strength in its colours, sense of immersion, detail, and a feeling of climax. It was meant to burn into your perception, complete. The Revival animation instead focuses on the forms, lines, and a sense of cyclic transition. Unlike the original, it requires attention over a span of time, since we never see the whole of it at any moment.
>> The Revival series is previous artwork remixed in such a way that they are counterpoints to the originals. The art chosen for remixing were ones whose original copies were lost in a hard disk failure. In a way, they are reincarnations of the lost artwork.

I tend to like art that leaves an effect on the audience beyond merely an observation of things (e.g. Rene Magritte's disconcerting paintings), sort of interactive without actually touching anything. It's something I try to do.
I'll do my best to keep being interesting. Thanks. =)

That's quite an inspired concept. I can see it being quite captivating as well at a much slower pace, over a matter of minutes, hours, or even days, where one might only perceive quite modest changes, yet be fully aware of the scope of the progression overall, much as one needn't see the actual growth of a sapling to know it's rising forth.
It was quite a struggle balancing between file size and smoothness for this. If I was posting this without Net bandwidth restriction in mind, I would have rendered more frames and switched them around so there would be extra "stages" for the transition.
I like the concept, though, and someday I'll combine the techniques from this and the original artwork into a psychedelic animation object.
Thank you for the words. =3

It works!
It's a treat to watch. Very calming. And the order in which elements (dis)appear adds a very pleasant rhythm. Overall, it reminds me dark ambient music, when I watch it. (Works ridiculously well with album Treetop Drive by Deathprod; i managed to find ttd1, ttd3)
I like the concept, too.
Very well done!
