Here it is, the long awaited chapter 10 of the Rise of the Alter series.
The caged bird thinks about making a deal with the enemy while the Starfox team investigate the motives behind the Cornerian's warrent for the young vulpine. Aron, frustrated on his past failure, trains intensely to try and make up for losing Serena.

Wow. Sorry for the long reply.
Well, this isn't so much of a critique as it is some questions I have that pertain to the story and also to fan fiction is general.
So if you're still game, here they are.
1. Why include cursing in the stories? I'm not a prude, but it's surreal for me to play a game originally rated KA+ and see the characters cursing (and hilarious in it's own way).
2. Why make Corneria a villain or quasi-villain? I've seen a couple of stories like this (the good guys suddenly turning evil) and they don't always make sense, given what we know about Corneria (little though that may be) and how they are operate and their status in the galaxy.
3. Why include overly threatening characters like Krueger? Granted, Krueger is a bastard among bastards, but he seems a bit extreme for a Star Fox story.
If I come off as rude or irritating in asking these questions, I'll apologize for it. I know how hard it is to write fan fiction and I only have one to my name and it's not that great.

It'd help inspire me to write more if I get more interest, but just too many want my sprites instead. Now to address your questions:
1. Trying to put more of a realistic feel. Eh, I know it kinda deviates from the games and I do try to stay within character for them as best I can.
2. The thing it's it's not just Corneria. Venom had their hand in things too, though Corneria is the lesser of the two evils considering the circumstance. Afterall, in the games their armies get nearly wiped out by Andross' or any other force.
3. Because if you think he's bad, there's much more you have yet to see. Though he is one of the top few of the worst of them. Essentially the Starfox universe does cut out a lot of implications, especially with the Aparoid invasion of Corneria, and this is to merely bring out more of such matters. Not to mention some guys like Krueger are just fucked up, and not just because of the living conditions the users were isolated under.

You're sprites are pretty cool. I'm not surprised you're overworked.
Think you'll continue this story anytime soon?
1. I see. Of course the cursing here isn't as surreal compared to some of the fan fics I've read out there. I read one where Lilo and Stitch meet Jigsaw from the Saw series. So... odd.
2. In this story true, but I can't really hold all of the CDF accountable for the actions of a few and I'm guessing that was your intention.
I'm a little bias towards Corneria I admit. Take a stroll through my gallery and the evidence is clear.
