An appreciation for the enigmatic, the inexplicable, a tantalizing vision that cannot be totally pinned down, a mystery that cannot be fully unraveled...a person who receives the blue rose is the subject of much speculation and thought, who bears a complex personality that does not allow easy interpretation. Another meaning is that it symbolizes the impossible, or the unattainable. Since the blue rose itself is a rarity in nature, it stands for something that is hardly within one's grasp, an object that seems too difficult to be achieved. Thus it is admired and revered as an unrealizable dream....

...However, accomplishing the impossible, fighting all odds, and new beginnings can also be represented by the blue rose. When we choose a path which has an untold, unexplained beginning, our heart gets crowded with feelings which are too deep to be described in words. FINALLY DONE. I've had sketched this out MONTHS ago, due to the idea floating around in my head for even longer, and I was able to finish it over the past few days. About 10 hours in total. I know it doesn't seem like it would really take that long, but I'm an absolute perfectionist when it comes to my art, and I wanted it to look just right.

Lighting has never been a strong point for me, so this was certainly a learning experience. Is it perfect? By no means, but I think it's better than any previous tries at it. Really proud of it.
