This is my favourite of the four you've posted! Technically it ought to be a terrible photo, with the flash fade-out and the weird lighting, yet it works great. Did you plan it that way, or was it just a snapshot that got lucky?

I was going for that kind of effect, though I had no idea if it would work out, and of course couldn't plan on actually catching the expressions I did. So while I had configured the camera for best effect, a lot of it is still luck.

Interestingly enough, the picture seems to have lost all the EXIF data, even though a photo processed the same way last month kept it. Hmm. In any case, was 1/60s at f/4 with an 18mm focal length on the lens (Canon 20D).
