Employed in the Second World War as a trainer, the T-6 "Texan" (as dubbed by the Americans) "Harvard". Built by North American, it was used by the Royal Air Force, the United States Air Force, and the Royal Canadian Air Force primarily. The propeller on the Harvard is spinning so fast, it creates mini sonic booms, the familiar noise associated with the aircraft. Here, we have a T-6 Texan along with a RAF Harvard and an RCAF Harvard at Abbotsford International Airport practising for the airshow. The show is a Salute to the Royal Canadian Air Force so we are expecting MANY warbirds of all different varieties.
