I hate my scanner... so much... makes all my scans look kind of dull and washed out... But trust me these colours blend and contrast so much better in person.

I think the thing I like about acrylics is...you can have thick colors and you can thin the colors down (ala "watercolor" style)--the versatility was what I always liked of them. Of course, I've mostly been painting PONIES lately, as figurines...so...doing some painting on paper/board will be a different experience than the figures, too.
Someday...I'd really love to do a truly "mixed medium" piece of art--I just don't know exactly what mediums I'm going to mix yet.
