usually I use Raw and just do it all purple. It lasts forever but I have yet to find it in green locally. I used a brand called Color Fiend which isn't as good as Raw but it beats Manic Panic out of the water..
I have short hair tho so I can use the same bottle of the pre-mixed bottles a few times since you don't have to throw them out like with natural colors and the Raw brand.

Manic Panic is one of the worst. It washes out quickest and fades nasty colors.
If you can find the color you want in the Raw brand I'd say go with Raw. Hot topic is the only place that carries it though. They have limited color selections but the purple is beautiful.
Special Effects is pretty decent too for a temporary hair dye. Since you can't get these colors in permanent.
or best results do what the package says. Cover your hair with like saran wrap and blast at it with hot air from like a hair dryer for about 15minutes.
I leave my hair dye in for a little over 30 most the time; half of the time with heat.
