After drawing the void magic things the other day, I found I rather liked the dapper little silhouette I was drawing performing them, so I figured I'd do him up as a full illustration and name him.
Zelos is the root word for Zeal, and Zealot - two words which accurately describe his determination to free his dark lord from the shackles the god of creation, Gignes has thrown over him. He always seems like he knows more than he's telling, and unlike most Void Cultists, who meet secretly in hidden covens, he mostly works alone, and quite overtly, slowly working to tip the scales in his god's favor.
Despite his appearance, it's common rumor that he's not human - that he's either a man so tainted by the void that he's been robbed of his humanity, or he is some twisted void spawn simply taking the form of a man. Whichever may be the case, no one has managed to capture him to see.
---
I really don't like how this picture came out, now that I'm looking at it. His legs are too short, his arms look like they're too short and he looks fatter than I intended :T bluh. I'm not good at drawing normal male bodies standing in average positions - they always come across as very feminine or whatever. and I can't draw slacks to save my life, they never come out right!
