This is it. :P
Savinga is Savinga. :P http://zoids.wikia.com/wiki/Savinga
It does come with two different heads if you wanted to have a different type of squirrel, but that's honestly all there is to it otherwise. (Aside from being designed to be used as a fuzor partner to a couple larger Zoids.)

In a sense yes. The purpose of the Savinga was to carry the zoid core to a more powerful Zoid the Whitz Tiger. And to create the Whitz Tiger the Savinga would combine with the Whitz Wolf.

Jealous that you have one. I was looking for one for a while, but couldn't find one for a reasonable price. I gave up and bought Whitz Tiger Imitate instead. Unfortunately only leaves one with a yellow Savinga. (I personally think the white works better.)
And of course at this point in time, I have it combined into Whitz Tiger Imitiate.

Just to remind you that
zoidsfur is a group account so addressing the group submission likely won't get you answers from the original submitter.
However in this case I get a little nosy to check everywhere.
I was really lucky to find this guy but it's worth checking out Zoid based forums to see if any other collector is willing to trade or sell. I had come actoss someone selling the Whitz Tiger Imitiate but I have to agree with you that the white looks much better than the yellow. But if you were up to it you could have always re-painted the parts to whichever colour you wanted.

To be honest, I see you got it from someone on Zoidspoison. While I do go there and post often, it's usually under the "discussion" area. I also have this preference (and this is where the cost would be the issue) to get only unbuilt if possible. (I only ever bought one pre-built Zoid, when I got a Liger Zero from someone on FA that had all three of the CAS units.) However there is a Zoid on there I must ask about... might buy another pre-built... hm... (I'm picky as hell, but I see something I can't get easily...)
And I know it's a group account, but I was also aware the image in question belongs to one of the group owners (meaning you) so figured it wouldn't hurt and would be informational if anyone else was going to ask.
And... so far as painting, trying to cover the Imitate's yellow with white would not work so well. Not even if I primed it and did it in layers.

I see what you mean. So far when it comes to the HMM line I've only ever bought them un-built from suppliers in Japan or from ebay. I find them a challenge and something to work on to pass the time, they're mor enjoyable that way I find. And to actually have a fully built model when you're done from your hard work.
When I started off I thought that I would only have HMM Zoids but as of the last month I now have 4 Zoids which are not HMM and all pre-built. But looking to the instructions of those they don't seem all that complex to put together that It's more of a why bother for me. So getting them built or un-built makes no difference.
And as I came upon this reply I was in the process of putting together and custom painting a HMM Great Saber from Black to White. Using grey primer and a coat of white paint (May possibly be due for a second coat if needed) is covering the black rather well. So perhaps grey primer would cover the yellow? I'm not an expect and just a novice at this, but I do have high goals.

I've been collecting since 2002, so I've got a lot of motorized and HMM series kits. :P I'd only buy a built HMM if it were a special from a hobby show or something. (Like a really awesome custom, those always end up on Yahoo Japan, but I really don't think I'd spend the kind of money those go for.)
To be honest, part of it is that I'm very particular about how they get put together, so I prefer I do the work. (However, I saw that ShadowLiger has something that might be of interest to me if it goes for the right price. I'm gonna guess the price isn't right because it's a real rarity and I'm strapped on cash. :( )
By the way, most of the motorized ones aren't too complicated, they never have been. Though some of them do take quite a while to get together. It really depends which ones you got. (Like if the Whitz Wolf was one of them, it's honestly one of the most disappointingly easy Zoid builds out there. I love the design, it's an awesome wolf-type Zoid, but it's basically "put legs, head, and tail on. You're done!")
Anyway... something of note, using too many layers of paint can hide the details of the plastic. If you're using flat paints, it's usually not as bad. But if you're using glossy paints, it'll be noticeably less detailed. I don't personally paint my Zoids. I personally limit painting to things like teeth on the Command Wolf types, and touch-up where parts were removed from sprues.

I've only been collecting for about a year or so. But my first Zoid was a Zaber Fang back when the Chaotic Century Anime started broadcasting in the UK and I loved that thing. Sadly I don't know where that went, my mother probably put it in the bin with a lot of my old toys that I no longer have. But When I found the anime again whilst I was in hospital
Myfi was kind enough to buy me a HMM Liger Zero as a gift. I'm still in the process of paying her off in art for that.
The Whitz wolf I could see wasn't many parts despite looking good when I kept assembling and dis-assembling during my modification of it with Bionicle parts. Motorized Zoids seem disappointing to me as I would rather be able to pose the awesome mechanical creature rather than simply watch it walk in a rigid unlikely way that doesn't seem comfortable because the knee and elbow joints (on some Zoids) are simply solid pieces of plastic. If I knew a way to articulate it I would but the most I could do for my first attempt was to create shoulder, hip and neck joints and the paws.
I'm being careful with the paint. Making sure where the markings are as I intend to go fill them out with black paint as the Gundman marker I normally use dries out and stops working if I try putting it onto paint.
And yeah these guys are an expensive hobby. I've probably spent well over £400 est. on my HMM Zoids plus any custom parts like the Beam cannons for the shield liger and the chrome teeth and paws for this Great Saber. I'm still resisting getting a HMM (Psycho) Geno Saurer or a HMM Dibison since there's enough money in my bank account to buy one or the other but that's my trip to america fund that I'm trying not to touch.

My first Zoids were a Konig Wolf and a Lightning Saix. (Got them both at the same time, at Christmas, I can't really recall which I opened first. :P) I've got them both still on a shelf right behind me. I'm one of those crazy people that got into it in 2002, and never stopped being into it. At some point or another, I accepted there would not be any more model kits, so I was keeping myself busy importing the games. The HMM line launched and my first one was Irvine's Command Wolf. I've got at least 20 HMMs in my collection now, and I've added quite a few more motorized since then, too. (Ones I missed out on when I was younger, so I'm glad to finally have).
Personally, I could never do any of that modification to a Zoid. (The bionicle posing thing.) Not that I am incapable, but because I simply would not do that. I admit most of my motorized simply sit there, no batteries in them. They're great to look at, and of course I can always put batteries in them should that strike my fancy. The HMM line is for the poseable stuff. :P (Waiting on an HMM Konig Wolf. That's my ultimate dream HMM kit.)
Let me just say as one with years of experience with paint... (as in, I was taught by my dad, who still builds model kits to this day, when I was much younger) the best ways to not make issues with the markings are with spray paints, or better yet, an airbrush. (Though airbrush method is expensive.) Obviously details are better done with an actual brush, but the airbrush on larger areas is the best way.
As far as them being expensive... lol... I... can't even say how much I've spent in the last 11 years on them. I'm fairly sure I don't want to know. :P Of course this year with the Originals line, the MSS line, and the continuing awesome HMM line, this will probably be my most expensive Zoids year. ^^; Well... okay, 2011 is probably more likely my most expensive simply because of all of the older ones I was after that I ordered, and the fact that one of those was my Gilvader.

A HMM Konig Wolf with the Sniper would be awesome as hell. I like my wolves obviously but I love all things to do with sniping through rifles and bows.
And it's really down to personal preference in the end with modifications and painting. To me it makes them more mine rather than something identically the same that someone else has sitting around.
I started painting this with Humbrol Acrylics and an airbrush, but a part of my airbrush broke a while ago that I haven't been able to replace due to money. Most of the paint work was done then but the rest that I need to do I'm painting by hand. Pretty much the same happened to the HMM blade Liger I painted. The airbrush got clogged part way through and I didn't have any thinner or a little brush then to clean it out so half of that thing got painted by hand too.
