The Furry Faces of VancouFur 2013 (1)

Winter in the Pacific Northwest is a dismal affair. Along the coast, it rains all four months of the season; rarely (if ever) turning into snow. Christmases are green and damp, the sun can disappear for weeks on end, and all the fur-bearing creatures go into hibernation.
However, in recent years a reward for enduring this disheartening season has appeared near its conclusion. The region’s winter calendar of furry events now closes in spectacular fashion with the arrival of
Vancoufur: The largest anthropomorphic convention in the Western Canada. And so it was that between March 1st-3rd, 2013, Furries from as far away as Belgium gathered within Burnaby, British Columbia, for the sophomore year of VancouFur.
Longtime watchers may have noticed that although I have had the pleasure of being involved with VancouFur’s media department since its inaugural year, I have not posted any images from VancouFur 2012. The reason for this is that I have none to offer. I documented that entire inaugural convention on Kheetah Cam, and some of the resulting footage can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dN5aRj3y7NA.
This year, theKheetah Cam remained largely in the paws of Kheetah, while I was away accumulating what amounted to one-hundred gigabytes of digital data. Alike the Disneyland excursion two months earlier, I was using a 60D, and thus able to switch between video and photography at will. Some of that video footage has already made its way into a number of projects; while other footage is being retained for a future release. The photographs alone ate up fifteen gigabytes of data, almost all of it RAW and requiring months to edit and sort out for display.
So, enough delays, here are some of the many many images of the many many fursuiters who attended VancouFur 2013 (many more of which gave been given away to their various subjects and are now spread throughout a number of FA accounts).
