This will be part of the gatepiece illustration for the second story of the Anasazi’s Rubicon cycle, “Divided Road”. The sign was constructed in Adobe Illustrator, using the specifications given in the Federal Highway Administration’s official handbook, the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, then brought into Adobe Photoshop and distressed. The sign will be above and behind the two main characters, who will be in profile, facing away from each other, casually dressed.

I’m still having trouble coming up with good visualizations of those two characters, and I’d welcome any artist who’d like to take a shot at it.
