Zementh, as he is one for doing, decided to make up his own version of Advanced wars, with himself and his close freinds as generals of oposing factions. Now, Ive never played the game but he described the setting of his own one to be near future and a bit gritty.
So I took that to its fullest extent 8D My team hit the planet riding inside and asteroid and emerge out, bonded into Giant machines of War to conquer and Strip Mine the planet >8D
