This picture is possibly the best thing in my new sketchbook. Though at the same time it's the worst. It started out as just a muscle study, drawing the muscles in different positions, and I ended up drawing the whole character, followed by a backdrop and color. I'm even working on a story to accompany this picture. Most of the picture was completed within a couple days, but I just did not feel like doing that floor. Well anyway..
The premise is that Janet was looking for a gym to work out at, and eventually found the WOlve's Den. after working out there for a few weeks the owner asked her to pose for a photograph. This is that picture. More details in te story.

This is really well done, and you've shown a lot of improvement since your early drawings in terms of detail. In a way, it's beautiful, despite the subject being so strong.
Was Janet always a muscular gal? In your early pieces, she's fully clothed, so it's hard to tell what she might have hidden under there.
I'd definitely like to see a follow up to this pic--maybe Janet posing in an arty black and white? Resting on the beach (since it's almost summer), working on a tan? In the gym again? whatever you do, I'd love to see it.

First off, I'm very pleased to find someone so interested in Janet's history and story. The primary reason I joined FA was to give my characters a chance to meet the public, and for people to become famliar with them. As for a follow up pic, I am still working on the story for this picture, which will go into more detail about the events leading up to the scene above, as well as what takes place shortly after. Although I haven't planned a follow up picture to this one, I am nearing completion on a character sheet for her that will give some more background on her character, as well as show her in her uniform. So stay tuned for that as well.
As for Janet's strength level, for the most part, yes, she's always been a tough girl, though I did exaggerate her muscularture for the sake of this picture.

I love your coloring work on this the most, I think, and it's what sets it apart from your earlier work: while you don't use a super realistic style, like say Chris Sawyer, it's still very pleasing to look at as you put plenty of details into it, tons of coloring, and a background to contrast with her figure.
That's just more of my thoughts in terms of constructive ideas.
