Would label this as a work-in-progress, but frankly the effects, background elements and other characters haven't actually been painted in yet. Plan to make three pictures out of this: The current one present (which is quite massively cropped vertically), one without the character but the other ones instead (which will be cropped more horizontally), and a full compilation. Between work and this image and my novels, this is about the most I can show so far. The scene pictured is from "Mewblade - Part 2: Death, Decisions and Destiny" http://vaporeon249.deviantart.com/#/d38an0l where Mewblade is transposed into a blur of multitudes of different concepts of the afterlife. Can we say I still suck at depicting this scene?

In any case, Mewblade is my Legendary Mewthree whose function is the Decider of Fate (translation: You break our Pokemon laws, I have a right to outline if you live or die). Her skill set is due to her more representative title, which is Letum Falcifer, Death Carrying A Scythe. Aside the actual true life giver that also shares her Decider of Fate title, Mewblade is an organic death machine, but she is also a skilled healer and will resurrect fallen individuals from time to time. And also unlike the proper healer of the group, she tends to be repeatedly punished and reminded that despite the fact she can resurrect the dead it does not mean it is either her right or her proper capacity to do so. The process hurts, it exposes her to unseen forces, and the final phase depicted here, "Soul To The Living" exposes her to the afterlife following the completion of the process with her respected charge. It's the kind of reminder that makes her hope she never dies.

Background is chopped shopped from the last attempt at the same exact image which completely failed. Hopefully the rest of this goes better. She took so long to paint, it sickens me. Thankfully the other way-too-many characters will get an even more warped effect of what is present in this image, where she in turn will not receive it so I can get the contrast I want in the end and not have to paint the detail equivalent of 12 hers. Quote was added to fill space, of which is Chaos' lines from her first attempt. Doesn't really balance well, but there was just way too much negative space on the left. Other than that just wanted to show that I have something lying around but I also need to spend a lot of time on it.

(Nothing like a flood of Mewblade images to the Mewthree group... There are other ones out there! I swear!)
