Alena commission project ( stitched fur finished)
Hand stitched the fur together and all the patterns, I choose to hand stitch primarily because it make a cleaner stitch line then reverses and shaved, this make seams barely visible when finally shaved, compared to machine sewed fur. However the draw back is it is labor intensive and time consuming, not recommended if you are not dedicated to your work.

I find that thinner thread is better suited to hide seams. Thicker thread can be easy to spot, especially with a high contrast with black and white. I also like to have some ability for the thread to break if need be. As I would rather repair a popped seam, over replacing ripped thread. On a head, it's going to be glued down anyway, so, it's not really a big deal if you don't havethe strongest thread in the world.
