It was the day she left me. I remember it clearly as white as the snow, I became blinded. She had cruelly teased me before, that she would leave when the winter came. For years and years she said such things but I merely smiled and told her she loved me too much to ever do something so soul wrenching. I was wrong. Spiteful Women know how to hurt a good man, they know how to rock us to our core and make us fear falling in love again. Too weak to try again and too old to even attempt, I keep that memory alive. Reliving it with every snow flake that falls on my face. It was my fault for not being what she wanted.
It was my fault.
