I can understand that you are frustrated, but from one artist to the next (as well as from someone who works in retail), it is very bad form to publicly badmouth customers. Unless they have physically shown up to your house, just send back polite, scripted messages or refund their commissions. If you are seriously worried about being harassed and feel that you are under-pricing yourself, then it may be time to take a break from commissions. Being paid to make art is certainly awesome, but having it seriously impact your life is not.
Then it is all the more important to be courteous to people. Good customer service is a huge part of the experience, and people may be wary to commission someone who submits a piece to their gallery complaining about the people who are paying their salary. I'm not saying that you can't complain, everyone needs to vent, but doing so where those who may potentially commission you will see is poor practice.
Yeah, I suppose. All my good commissioners know who they are so they won't be offended by this. Theres only 3 pushy ones that really bother me e.e and one refused to accept the finished piece for god knows what reason and made me redo it and didn't pay for lamination... I have a linnnne of commissions to finish first. The can be patient. lol
