And here we are on our next color in the spectrum--Blue, the Light of Hope!

The Blue Lantern Corps was founded by former Guardians Ganthet and Sayd. When the Blackest Night Prophecy came to the attention of the Guardians, only they argued that making use of the other colors of the spectrum to defeat the darkness...and they were promptly banished for it. Seeing that they would not leave the Green Lanterns unaided, they went to the planet Odym--a lush, beautiful world teeming with life. There they built the Blue Central Battery and established the founding characters of the Blue Lantern Corps.

The Light of Hope is a light which can take away rage, fear or avarice and is able to heal one's heart, mind and body in times of despair. Much like the Green Lantern Rings, they can also make energy constructs, force fields, and enable the user to fly. There is one major catch, however...only in the presence of a Green Lantern can the Blue Lantern Rings meet their full potential. They once tried to solve this problem by recruiting Hal Jordan who was known for having the greatest amount of Will of any Green Lantern on Earth. Also, if the user ever loses all hope, the ring will cease to function. Though these drawbacks are great, the Blue Light is one of the more stable of colors in the emotional spectrum and has little influence on the ring wearer.

 RyuTheWeredragon volunteered himself to be the Blue Lantern of Hope. A funny story on that--I was going to be the original Blue Lantern of Hope, but too many people were asking for green or blue. So to be fair, I decided to go with one of the harder colors of the spectrum to work with...the Red Lanterns. BLAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! Don't worry though! Ryu's light mostly calms me down...mostly. >.> I can still rage when I want...really! Just show me that Tintin Movie by Spielburg and guy behind Lord of the Rings! That ought to get that plasma flowing.
