Guess who I picked up at the flea market the other day!
Big 10-point elk. He’s huge! I zoned in right when I saw him, and had to have him. The man selling him and another larger elk was very nice, and knocked a bit of the price off for me. This guy needs a good scrubbing, the bottom of his skull is pretty filthy. When he’s all clean I’m planning to hang him somewhere and use his amazing antlers to hang my tails from. I think I’ll also decorate him with some leather/feathers/beads like I do with my other cervids.
You guys have no idea how happy I am. Been wishing so long for an elk skull.
Now to try and name him... If he even wants a name, that is. Most of my deer tend to not want to be named for some reason?

I actually have a skull of one that I scavenged myself, but the antlers had been sawed off. There's another elk head in my area too, but it got moved, I think. I'm just hoping whatever dragged it didn't take it too far.
I'd be willing to part with one if I am able to find the other though, haha.
