...So, some context I think is necessary for people since this is a very interesting Lantern Corps. Of all the lantern corps, it's the most distinct...and even trying to explain it from the perspective of an outsider won't do it justice.
But here I go. The Indigo Tribe, in nature, are a Lantern Corps with a more primitive, tribal getup. Their home is the on the planet Nok in Space Sector 2814. Before Hal Jordan became the Green Lantern of his Space Sector, Abin Sur had landed on the planet Nok in a desperate search for solutions to the Blackest Night Prophecy. He came across the Indigo Central Battery and helped the natives of the planet create indigo power rings and start up a Lantern Corps so secluded that the Guardians of Oa would never be aware of their presence until much later.
They are fueled by Indigo Power Rings and Indigo Power Staves that are all fueled by the Indigo Light of Compassion. These rings have no real power of its own but its empathic nature allows them to imitate the powers of all the other colors of the emotional spectrum--whatever is needed to bring a foe down. They are also able to absorb any emotional light, regardless of the spectrum.
They spend the majority of the time adding people to their ranks--whether voluntary or not--often looking for big-time criminals throughout the universe and then rehabilitating them with indigo power rings. From that point on, they no longer bear a name but a number. A person who bears one of these rings is overwhelmed by an undying drive of compassion and grief for the actions they caused in life. Much like the Orange Light of Avarice, it is parasitic in nature and is one of those rings where you are not in control of your thoughts or actions but rather the ring itself.
There are some cases where a person can gain control if they are people of exceptional compassion--their powers are not as great as those under the influence of the ring however. In short, the Indigo Tribe is a community that functions as a group with no real sense of individuality and, arguably, free will.
Magnus_Crawford volunteered to represent the Indigo Tribe for this project. Even though the lantern rings can normally translate the language for you, something about the indigo's power negates this effect, rendering the oath entirely in the tongue of the natives of Nok. The mention of Abin Sur and the Lantern is a clear tribute to the Green Lantern in starting what they began.
The posture is actually a capoeira stance. Capoeira, while not the most lethal of martial arts, is an exotic fighting style I do enjoy watching and given the tribal nature of the Indigo tribe. I thought it would be perfect for this pic.
I hope you all enjoy it! ^.^

Even if free will is taken away, the rehabilitation of criminals is very important. I go towards the Indigo Light of Compassion because I feel it is the best way to feel atoning for my own crimes no matter how insignificant. Losing my free will to give compassion to the universe is what I choose.
