Just a couple of poems I wrote this afternoon, while in an RP event in Duskwood.

The first is a tanka, which is a Japanese-styled poem, sort of like an extended haiku. Rather than a haiku's 5-7-5 structure, a tanka is 5-7-5-7-7.

The second is a triolet, a stanza of eight lines where the first, fourth and seventh lines are identical, as are the second and eighth, and the rhyming structure is ABaAabAB. Ideally the meaning should undergo an alteration at the end, but I didn't do that here, because the words don't lend themselves to such a change.

I'm not in the habit of composing poetry, but it's been a while since I posted anything, and it's out of the ordinary.
