pah i shouldn't have included that in my comment; i don't think listeners' approval should be a consideration in music creation, or any art. i think if you just follow your instincts you'll always create something that speaks to someone.

Oh I follow my instincts in my music, I assure you that. Of course I hope people enjoy my music though, it is part of the reason I make music; I enjoy making people happy by doing something I love to do, but I don't sit there and think to myself "I should change this because people might like it more." I normally just make what I think sounds good and then post it for others to take as it is, I do like to hear what people think about my stuff though because an outside view can sometimes give you insight on some aspect that you may have previously overlooked.

TL;DR- I make music because I enjoy it and because I like to make people happy. If I ever make a bunch of money off of it, then that's cool if not, then that's fine too. Same thing if not many people like my stuff, I'll still be doing it regardless becauseI enjoy making it. ^_^
