"Heh, right. Sorry bro... Anyway. That is kinda what happened though. I was out with my team on a routine mission when we saw flashes through the night sky. We went out to investigate, but it didn't take long to figure out what was going on. You see invasions all the time in movies, but those guys are chumps. When you come with the intent to invade a planet, you come in full force. They did.

The first fight started faster than I could think, but it lasted for what felt like weeks. Villains, cops, heroes, civilians, armies... everyone got caught up in the fight for the planet. Every nation was under constant fire from the ships above. Cities burned as those grubby bastards came down in force, but we met them. We met them hard. We took on the first "scout" wave with only some effort... then the second, third and fourth came down. We've lost a lot of good people... Didn't help that I got dumb one day... I was losing faith in my ability to fight all this off. I know, right? Me!? It was a mistake I'll never make again. Megalodon saved my ass from one of their high tech bombs. I lost my arm and my eye in the blast, but he's been in a coma for a month. And Starburst... I.. I'd rather not go into that right now.

Those bastards are going to pay! They will pay for what they've done to our planet. For what they've done to my home... my friends! I will take down every last one I see! The resistance against their occupation is strong. We're using their own tech against them now too, and we will WIN!

They call me the Spirit of Vengeance now... I almost like that, as long as they get the name right in the headlines this time. Heh"Alternate post apocalyptic timelines! This Spirit has seen some better days. His planet too for that matter. Just felt like getting something more dramatic made. I think it turned out great! Lost most of his suit, but he kept the mask and a green jacket just cause he liked the style.
