I wanted to take a break from digimon and try writing a story in 1st person. So I thought I experiment with pokemon with these two being my starters. I know I know usually a trainer starts off with 1 but I couldn't decide on with of these two so I thought I get both lol.

Story:

I woke up yawning and stretching from my sleep. I looked around saw the usual stuff in my room; clothes, tv, movies, and xbox. I felt like I could be doing something more with my life. As I was in my train of thought, I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in." I said as the door opened I got a cheerful good morning from my two favorite pokemon, Ty, the typhlosion and Ral, the feraligator.

"Morning Sean," My mom said as she stood behind the pokemon. "These two walked over from the lab and the professor has been looking for them for quite awhile. Give him a call to let him know they're with you."

"Ok." I told her as she walked away. "I guess you guys wanna do something today?"

The pokemon shook their heads yes, so I went to the bathroom to start my daily ritual, wash up then get dress. Once I was clothed, I let mom know I was walking to Professor Elm's lab.

"Mom, were going to Professor Elm's lab."

"Ok. Bye love you."

"Love you too."

My pokemon and I left the house and started making our way to the Professor's lab. While we was walking a group of kids couldn't help, but stare at my pokemon. Ty did a few poses for them and launched a flamethrower attack into the air while Ral stood behind me trying to hide himself.

"What's wrong Ral? Don't you want to show what you can do?" I asked as I turned my head to face him. Ral blushed and and grabbed my shirt. He shook his head no and lifted my shirt so he could hide.

"What's wrong with that pokemon behind you?" A little boy asked.

"He's shy that's all. C'mon Ral you can't stay under my shirt. We have somewhere we got to be. That goes for you too Ty."

Ty stopped what he was doing and ran up to me. He stood beside me trying to flex his muscles one more time for the kids. Ral slowly came out of my shirt and stared at Ty as he was looking awesome for kids. I could only guess what Ral was thinking, but I think he wants to be like Ty. However, Ral use to be like Ty and vice versa.

When Ral was a totodile, he was confident one and when Ty was a cyndaquil, he was shy and was always hiding in my clothes. I'm not sure what happen, but from what professor Elm, told me. Pokemon not only change their forms, but also their personality. I noticed the changes when the evolved into quilava and croconaw.

Anyway, we finally made it to Professor Elm's lab. He seemed happy that my pokemon somehow made their way to my house instead of wondering outside his garden.

"I'm glad those two are safe. I've been searching for them for hours. They really don't like being in their pokeballs or in the garden anymore."

"I'm sorry if they have pulled you away from your research professor."

"It's quite all right. Anyway, Sean I think it's about time you go on an adventure."

"An adventure? At my age?"

"Yes well you're mom told me you're kind of at a lost on what to do for a career. So I'm offering you a position to work for me, kind of. You'll be one of my pokemon trainers. How does that sound?"

"Well I guess so professor, but I'm not sure how the pokemon feel about it. What do you guys think?"

Ty was excited for it and Ral had this look on his face like he wasn't sure. I kind of expected this from him, but maybe this adventure will help him regain his confidence. I turned to the two of them to talk to them.

"Ty, I know you're ready for it. However, Ral you seem like you're not sure, but this trip could help you, me and Ty. I'm not sure when you started thinking you were weak, but you're not. Besides with me and Ty going with you, you'll get stronger and meet new friends that will become our allies on this journey. So what do you say?"

Ty put his arm around Ral and smiled. Ral looked at Ty then me and shook his head yes with a smile.

"Well Professor, we'll be starting our adventure soon."

"Great. Your mom already packed a few things for you and here our the pokeballs for those two. All though they'll probably never get used. Also here are four more pokeballs, a pokedex, and a pokenav. You can get healing supplies from the pokemarts for the pokemon. The pokemon center can also be used to help your injured pokemon. I think that's everything. If not call me."

"Thanks professor. I'll let you know how everything goes when I get to the next city. Please tell my mom that I'm going on a journey."

"Will do Sean. Take care all of you!"

As the pokemon and I waved goodbye we started making our way to the next town, next stop Cherrygrove City.
