Joe Kubert School 2nd Year Animation Storyboarding work from 2006.

The assignment here was to create a storyboard and design characters to create a fight between two pilots, and one has to lose. Whatever other details there were were left up to us. When I thought up the characters (whose original design drawings are in a sketchbook I can't seem to find right now), I had the basic theme of flight in mind, so I made the designs based on birds. I thought up a robin-like design for the female hero pilot, and a vulture-like design for the villain. You can't really tell from these rough drawings, but their planes are supposed to look like the respective birds.
