From my second year at the Joe Kubert School, 2006.

This was the very first assignment from the character design class, the basic idea was to create characters using 1) only straight lines, 2) only curved lines, and 3) both straight and curved lines, and create three characters for each of these categories. It was a basic lesson to get the year started. You can pretty much tell which ones went into which category. I've taken quite a liking to the train robot, I might try drawing him again. Plus the "milk maiden" character on the bottom right. there's two of her because I tried adding a stripe pattern to her face on a separate sheet in blue pencil of paper and an animation lightbox. I might try some more of her too.
