After hanging up the last of the images on the wall, I gave a soft chuckle at myself and decided to round up the other tigers scattered around my room for a big family photo.

There are more that I own, but these were the closest at hand.

73 tigers live quietly in my room, and 4 more live downstairs, 3 as christmas ornaments, and 1 as a coffee mug.

I can't really say when my obsession with tigers began... I think, back in the first grade, a friend in my class asked me what my favorite animal was. I hadn't given it much thought at the time, so I just picked one off the top of my head and stuck with it. "Tigers", I said, and I stuck with it ever since.

I've collected these tigers from all around the globe, wherever I have been, mostly to capture a memory of a vacation or a special place that I have been to. I have tigers from all across the US, including Hawaii, I think one from Italy, and Canada too. I've had friends bring me tigers from China and Japan, and some other more local places.

And yes, those are big puffy tiger slippers on my bed. So comfy in the winter.

I don't really hunt them down, but over the years I've just kinda wound up with a truck load of tigers in my room.
