they use the same stats - though maybe second edition is more forgiving of a caster not starting out with an 18 in their casting stat.

(snorts) Perhaps in terms of spell DC, sure, but 3rd and 3.5 casters don't become "Polish mine detectors" once their prepared spells are used up.

More like they won't ever be able to cast 8th or 9th level spells if they don't start bumping those stats ASAP. Then they're simply screwed at high level.

Never seen a 3.x caster run dry, actually.

I have. It was fun. I started knife fighting with a rogue. 3.5, sorcerer class. It was a looooong fight.

Heh. I'm not going to get anything for 4th at all, until there's at least as many books for it as there are for 3rd/3.5.

That's the problem - they don't stay balanced once there's thirty-odd splatbooks.

That's what I plan on doing -- it'd be hubris for me to offer art, but I know a bit about gamecraft and can write pretty well. Most of the writing is already done, it just needs to be collected nicely and converted. Such a project will definitely need editors though, and I'd like to see it converted into a nice PDF ebook.

Mmhm. I try to write as best as I can; I love editing and fancying things up. Especially for those who've already done so much of it..! Anything to help someone who's trying to create something for everyone to enjoy.

Great job, there aren't enough visually appealing character sheets out there. You could make a fair bit of cash doing these on commission, i think.

I'm thinking about having him do me one. Just trying to figure out if it'd be possible to use a standard layout.

I love Tabletop RPGs.
It's the ultimate 'Open Sandbox' play in gaming. Our Gm often facepalms because we wind up doing things he never planned for.

We've had a series of fair artists in our various groups but I suspect if you had've been part of our gaming circle you might have had a constant series of Character drawing requests.

Love the sky behind the characters. An interesting predicament she has, though better she thinks she is a dragon than an ant...I'm not sure how one would act like an ant...lift 50 times it's weight? instant hernia...

Gorgeous character, sorceress and dragon both. I like how your characters, while simply detailed, are so perfectly chiseled, both in color and shape, that it gives it a level of geometric perfection that sets you apart from many artists... sort of what I go for in my work I suppose, but you're a few steps ahead.

as I'm typing this, me and my friends are getting set up for a bit of D&D. gonna play as an orca morph, as a made up race: A coastal Orc... hey, don't look at me like that: thats what this game is all about, is having fun with fantasy scenareos you'd enjoy, right?

When you have the cash, I highly suggest you get everything... Ironclaw is what got me back into writing, because all the history and lore of the different species and cities fascinated me.

huh, that's exactly what happened to me after I got a couple of player manuals for a couple of TTRPGs, lol ^^ The helped me revise the storyline of my own TTRPG.
But yes! You can bet your scaley rump that I will! XD

I favorites the GURPS rule system.

This must be a D20 thing. aside from the basic stats I have no idea what else everything means. So I will skip this and go back to running my simpler 2nd edition game now :) Great work on the character sheet tho :)

Though I by no means got a start from it, I've been known to make the odd sketch or ink for character sheets, usually of characters human enough to where the don't fit well here... some sketches for some online rpgs too... folks seem to love their ideas visualised... makes me happy when I manage to pull it off too.

Frankly, I never much cared for how d&d's 3rd edition drew most of the metallic dragons' faces, but your copper's are beautiful. I'd love to see your rendition of a Brass and Bronze sometime.
