As though I couldn't make Vassa any creepier, I gave her an eye in her palm. Been watching too much Pan's Labyrinth, I suppose. Gotta love the monster that eats pixies. <3
ANYWAY, this was supposed to be practice in perspective, but I just made Vassa's head look really small. I didn't mean it. It just kind of happened.
Oh well. She's supposed to be odd looking, so I guess it can slide. XD

Hmm, I'm quite a fan of this one, it's got a pseudo Hellblazer feel to it with the mythic sort of creature with the strange bleeding eye in the palm but dressed in a modern way like some kind of ancient spirit reinvented and going about their thing in the modern world.
Care yo enlighten as to what she is? from the looks of it what with her being a jackal and having a scythe, something to do with death or soul reaping would be the obvious one :P

Vassa? Well, it's kind of complicated. Vassa is descended from the jackals of ancient Egypt who lived to the modern day, and was born a male. But s/he developed shapeshifting powers as a teenager, and was guilt-tripped by hir family into remaining female (parents wanted a daughter instead of a son). S/he got very confused and depressed... And killed herself because of it. But, s/he clawed hir way back after seeing what lay at the end of the tunnel, and brought a few dark powers back with her (the scythe was made by Vassa... Since s/he's managed to convince hirself that shi's death incarnate).
So, basically, she's a shape shifting jackal zombie. Who went completely bat-shit insane.
And, who is kinda stuck as being female half the time. Vassa died as a female, and the female form is smaller... So any attempt to transform into hir original gender means a lot of ripping at the seams. And zombie or not, it hurts when your skin falls off. ^^;

Hmm I like that story quite a lot, the idea of someone coming back through force of will and thinking themself as death incarnate or something else when they're meerly (as if that's a light thing) a zombie or Deathless (which is like a zombie without the decomposition).
Nice to see something thought through and with a mix of tragedy and occultism in the background, I didn't come up with much for my own fursona Camnian, though there is some detail in his anatomy, mostly to do with the spines along his back. Wanted something different so they're not bone, they're a mixture of crystal and bone with a fluid channel inside, all to do with alternating resonance since he has no breath weapon but can release powerful sound based effects.
