This is a fun summer treat to beat the heat. You can use any fruit flavored soda you want, in this case I've chosen cherry limeade soda.
CHERRY LIMEADE GUMMY BEAR POPS:
You will need:
1 liter of your favorite fruit soda OR you can use a 12 oz bottle, it's completely up to you.
1 bag of regular gummy bears
1 Popsicle mold that holds up to 6 or 8 pops.
HOW TO:
Open the bag of gummy bears and place 6 in each mold.
Pour the soda over in the molds, but don't fill it all the way to the top. You want to leave some space between the soda and popsicle sticks.
Insert the sticks in each mold MAKE SURE THEY ARE POINTING STRAIGHT DOWN and not to the side or they won't come out popularly.
Stick them in your freezer on a plate because they will expend and over flow when the soda begins to freeze. The plate will catch any leakage. Freeze them over night.
Once frozen, take them out and run the molds over some warm water to losen them up.
And serve!
Oh, these WILL drip and stain clothes depending on what type of soda you use. So, if you have kids, the best idea is to give the pops to them while playing outside or sitting at a table with a plate underneath.
If you don't want or don't like soda, you can use your favorite fruit juice too and follow the rest of the steps above.
Idea inspired by a recipe on pinterest. I just used my alternative with soda and molds.
Enjoy!
