Yes, you should definitely draw more lions and other maned creatures, the way you draw and shade fur looks so natural. The only thing here is his right back leg look a bit strange, like that middle muscle (the gastrocnemius I believe it is called) sticks out a bit to far for this angle or is not quite in the right place. Otherwise, it is spot on.
