Definitely a sign of affection when Skitter licks me, it's just so SO CUTE! I really wish she was my pet, as I really want a fox for many reasons. Their affection and love being one reason

The fox must get the taste she desires. Yes, the taste of human flesh! I'd love to be licked to death by a fox you know, only thing is I seem to have an allergy to animal hair/fur (although it's said to be dandruff) and whenever I get licked by an animal it itches and starts coming up like a sting would from a stinging nettle. I bet it must be nice though for you.
My thoughts exactly, and I do everything in my power to be as nonthreatening as possible, take very precaution and just plain ol' common sense. It's very heartening to be greeted by so-called "dangerous" or overly "wild" animals BTW, just uploaded one where she's nomming me
Oh I wouldn't call a fox "dangerous" any day, even one I encounter in the streets. Unless you go charging towards them and their cubs they aren't really going to just launch themselves at you and attack you. It's weird why some people think that every wild animal they encounter is going to attack them. I'll have to look at that nomming photo now!
It's just an asinine misconception that people aren't going to let go. Even people will complain that they shouldn't keep a "wild" animal as a pet. Newsflash, there hasn't been a single reported death from a coyote or a fox. Dogs attack and kill more people than other pets.
