The Funny 'Ting' about this road is that the maps had it running all the way to another street, but after about ten yards it changes from blacktop to dirt, and after another hundred yards it stops dead.

Try Atlanta, Georgia. Peachtree is the most common road name, followed by Chamblee and Dunwoody. And yes, they do intersect, and mix n' match.

Why is this funny? The roads are entirely different! One is Maple Drive and the other is Maple Avenue.

This one town I lived in had a Sandpiper street, crescent, drive AND avenue and to make matters worse, it was all in the same subdivision

It got so bad the post office refused to deliver mail to the area (many, many people just put "Sandpiper" without the designation), forcing the renaming two of the roads by city council.

I was working with an electrical contractor at the time, all over the place

The streets up in the Oakland neighborhood I lived in was like this. Not only was there an Ascot Drive, but there was also an Ascot Way and Court, all on the same route.
