It's over and the new little ones have been decided! ^,^
Say hello to the newest members of the Acionna family Frey and Freya! =D
Here's the bio for the little cuties~
About three years ago at a local orphanage in Viridian a pair of foundlings were abandoned on the doorstep, twins almost newborns and only a week or two old at best, in critical medical condition. What was surprising were their species, they were a Latios and a Latias. Naturally this caused a bit of commotion (after the twins had been rushed to the hospital for treatment) due to how young they were and their species… but the orphanage didn’t have the budget or ability to try and find out the infants parents so they took them in like any other orphans. One of the volunteers who had a bit of a fondness for mythology, managed to talk the others into letting her name the twins Frey, for the boy, and Freya, for the girl. This was made official when the two were released from the hospital a few months later.
The rather odd circumstances of their arrival as well as the amount of medical care the two needed at first (which the orphanage actually had to hold several fund raisers to help pay) kept the two infants from being adopted at first… and as they grew their own unique quirks made it even harder for potential parents to consider them. For one thing they are both surprisingly large for their age (at 3 years old they’re both standing at 3’8”) and they have a plethora of odd developmental quirks as most of the workers have noticed. For example despite being 3 years old they both still need and use diapers, baby bottles, pacifiers, and the kind of supplies you’d expect for an infant.
A more noticeable quirk was the fact they rarely if ever actually talk. Due to their budding telepathic abilities they usually communicate with each other mentally and only talk if they need somebody else’s help … and the twin’s normally just cry to get the caretakers attention and to let them know what they need. When they do talk, mostly due to coaxing from the caretakers, it comes out incredibly lisped and only a step or two up from toddler babble which is surprising since, due to their inexperience with their powers, the psychic type worker at the orphanage can overhear the conversations they have with each other telepathically and attests they’re incredibly well spoken for their age.
Despite their developmental slowness they seem to learn things faster than children their age would normally thanks to their near constant telepathic connection and shared mind state. Leading them to be rather precocious… or at least smart and curious enough to be good at getting into trouble if not watched constantly. And finally the last trait they have that makes them hard to get adopted is that they absolutely REFUSE to be separated for any reason, and despite being adorable twins most potential parents aren’t willing to put up with two large, diaper dependent, slow developing children.
Which is rather sad since past all these little quirks the twin are a adorable, sweet natured and tempered, and just generally precious little ones who just need a little extra love and attention… which is EXACTLY what attracted Danu to them during her search for a new baby to adopt. Since she was ready to open her heart and home to one baby… why not two? She was also sure Diana would love to have both a baby brother and sister to love… and two more playmates for when she’s little.
And so the Acionna family added two more members~
Facts about Both Twins
- They actually tend to have very similar likes and interests. Because of this they have arguments/fights since neither of them has really mastered the art of “Sharing” yet and they both like and want the same toys at around the same time. Many a tug-a-war has started over this.
- Due to being natural levitators they both are fairly unsteady on their feet when they have to walk, moving with an adorably awkward baby toddle since they’re more used to floating.
- They can fly but have trouble maintaining a steady course making them wobble and weave through the air. They also have trouble controlling their flight the faster they go and tend to crash if they go too fast resulting in boo-boos and tears.
- They get anxious if they’re too far away from each other and usually prefer to be in the same room.
Facts about Frey
- Still tends to try and use his diaper as a pocket to carry stuff with
- Tends to be the leader of the two when they’re exploring or adventuring
- Prone to flying too fast and crashing more often than his sister
- More likely to cry than his sister if hurt or upset and definitely cries louder than his sister
Facts about Freya
- Eats a lot more than her brother does yet somehow stays the same size as him
- Still in her “Teething” stage and enjoys chewing on things when she isn’t nursing her pacifier or her thumb
- Tends to be more curious about technology then her brother and enjoys pushing the buttons on anything new she can find
- Tends to be more aggressive with her toys then her brother throwing, squeezing, and generally wearing them out faster
Hope you like them because Danu absolutely ADORES her new babies... and her still-baby Diana. As for the Mew? Well she's overjoyed to get to be BOTH a big sister and to have playmates! Though she is a little upset that the two are actually BIGGER than her toddler form by more than a foot in height AND outweigh her. Either way she's still happy about this...
Which makes the adorable little family of legends even more complete! =D

Well, this officially caught me off guard. (and that's hard to do!)
They are cute though.

...is it bad that caramelldancen just randomly popped into my head?
(.......I'm still trying to figure out how a latios and latias won over a shaymin....a sandshrew, I can understand but....a shaymin?
True, they were provided with a back of sorts, so less for you to dwell over, against a blank shaymin with a empty palette just acheing to be colored with a plethora of possibilities, but... )
