I can see a balloon being pretty alarming if you didn't know what it was! I didn't know whether to laugh or "aww" through the whole video, so I did a bit of both!
What tipped you off that something was going on before the video started? Or were you just in the right place at the right time?

I was already there, rearranging her enclosure when she suddenly started to run around frantically, holding her yellow ball all the time while trying to "scream" WITH the ball in her mouth. Every 5 seconds or so, she stopped running to stare at the balloon, making the same scare-face as seen on the video. After she dropped the ball, she even did a warning call (barking!) That was the trigger for me to run into my room to get the camera. I was hoping to finally being able to record her barking because it's super rare. But it was too late when I started recording. Just a few seconds before I started, she was so scared, that she even pooped right where she was standing! Actually, I had a hard time to hold my laughter over the time of the video. It was quite hilarious (not for her thought!).
Oh wow! Poor thing. So scared she didn't even think to drop the ball! It's a shame you didn't get to catch that, along with the barking. Maybe next time, though!
Thanks for sharing the video, by the way. I needed a laugh after the end of a semi-stressful day. Every time you post another picture or video it makes me wish I had the time and money to commit to adopting a fox myself. Maybe one day.
