This was the hotel where Optimus Prime and Megatron would battle for the souls(and pocket change) of helpless toy collectors...doesn't this botanical setting just SCREAM Transformers?! Heh. Anyway, it was a pretty nice hotel, but unfortunately beyond our budget. Instead, we stayed at a Hotel Six during our time there--which was STILL expensive in San Diego.

You know, I gotta say, you Californians, I can totally see why you guys stick around the San Andreas Fault--you knoiw, that patch of land that's going to eventually sink into the ocean and kill you all? Flawed and unstable as it is, it's the only patch of land in California that's habitable. A good chunk of California is hundreds of square miles of barren desert. There isn't even a gas station around for a long ways. My brother and I were worried we'd run out of gas before we even made it back home.
