Welcome to acirema (WIP)
I spent the entirety of the summer of 2012 working on my thesis (and the Winter too, but that's not the point here) when, in July, I realized I hadn't drawn anything in the entire year! I had the above image in my mind and set out to speed-sketch it when I was able to take a breather... only it turned out more complicated than I expected! Roughly, each color corresponds to a day, except that the characters took a day each. The drawing was completed (as in, I can now start an actual artwork on it) and signed on September 1, 2012.
The title is a reference to what immigration officers invariably tell travellers upon arriving to a new place. Since I don't want to set this in any particular place just yet, I took the name from Horace Miner's famous, albeit not entirely serious, paper
