So, back in late June, I went with my little brother to Botcon. On the surface, it's a harmless convention celebrating Transformers in all its glory. When one takes a closer look at it, one soon realizes it's merely just a Hasbro-sponsored gimmick to sell more Transformers toys. So, really, it panders more to the toy collectors than people who are just general fans; in fact, the con sells convention-exclusive toys once a year and premium membership people get additional unique toys(For about 400 bucks! :P)

...You know this does make me wonder how people get so invested in it when the only purpose of the show, comics, etc. was just to sell more toys. Hey, Fanboys! Transformers only loved you as long as you had control of your parents' income! And feel free to tell me in meticulous detail how the death of Optimus Prime was your generation's Othello! TROLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!

Only kidding(mostly). I watched Transformers when I was a kid. I never really got into it like my little brother did, but I do like it enough to have been able to respect coming along for the ride. For me, Transformers was Generation 1 and Beast Wars and that was about it. Beyond that, I was never too interested in the franchise. As such, I was essentially Mark's carrier for all the toys he'd collected at the convention--yes, those are ALL Transformer Toys! XD My little brother is quite the big collector.
