I am so happy with this picture. I started this early this morning and have been working on it through the day in class. I think this is the best horse I have ever done.
Here was my reference:http://bellanotte-stock.deviantart.com/art/Patrick-Free-Jump-48372245
I don't normally post my non anthro art here, but I was just too proud of this picture not too. if you're interested in my other art, check out:

**Edit** because a lot of people seem confused, this was done 100% free hand with an air brush in photoshop while looking at the ref in another window, this isn't a photo manip or a trace.

Yeah, that would be my only critique, that it's a bit dark. But that's kinda the idea... i can see the stars, though.
It's just maybe a tiny bit too dark. (maybe a slight bit of glowy or reflective outlining around the head and neck would give it just enough definition to fix that)
It's a great piece.

*grin* I had the same reaction...I thought the eye and nostril were the "stars" the title was referring to, and the horse was being dissipated by the solar wind. Then I turned off the desk lamp by my computer. "Oh. I get it now." :) Pretty cool, and a very nice equine rendering. When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a photo of a Lipizzaner doing a capriole.
Ahhh, you like soft rock that has heavy focus on the guitar. I bet America's; "A horse with no name" and Blind Melon's; "No Rain" are more along your line. ;)
Elliot has a good voice, real good voice... I just wish he would get a little more creative with his sound.
I really like music that has a noticeable climax, even something as smooth as "Enigma" has an epic climax.

Well, I don't know the horse song, but I like Blind Melon's song :)
I am also a big fan of Dragonette, and the Gorilaz ^^
I don't know much about music, but there is just something I love about Elliot Smith, my favourite songs of his are 'Between the Bars' and 'Cupid's Trick'

I had never heard of Dragonette before! Awesome sound. :D
I wonder if you've heard of Freezepop? :)
However; I can't let you be equine and go without hearing "Horse With No Name" :3

From what I can gather, originally it was a poem by Walt Whitman. Then in a vastly different form it was a song in the movie Fame. And, where I heard it, it was sung by Juniper Lee on The Life and Times of Juniper Lee.
