n the wild, the fact that Mufasa and Scar coexisted in one pride would have meant that they were both the rulers- Scar would've been king alongside his brother, and they would have worked together to protect their pride from outsiders. Simba would be kicked out once he hit adolescence, so he would be no threat to Scar's position, and because he was already king, both he and Mufasa would be in fine health- both physically and mentally. There would have been no evil plot, no coup- really, no movie at all!
