The reference photo provided was taken near one of my family's mining claims in Leadville, CO. (Hagerman Pass)

The Jeep is my 1987 4.2L I6 Wrangler - my first car, which I fixed up and keep around for a recreational driving. =3

I love my YJ.

Yeah, my family is full of Jeep fanatics! Everyone but my brother has one, and I have two! XP
My YJ needed a LOT of work when I got it 10 years ago, and it still needs more... but I'll never get rid of it if I can help it!

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean about never wanting to get rid of it.

I got my 95 YJ in 2004 and it was my 1st car ever. The previous owner didn't really take good care of it, so when I got my 09 JK, I had plans to fix her up. Sadly, though, I had to let go of her when I moved to Florida. It was one of the most heartbreaking decisions I've ever made. :(

For a while now, I've been wanting to get a Jeep commission by

racoonwolf. You beat me to it! Looks terrific!

Looks like a good looking Jeep! I just gotta ask though, does your YJ really have coils? ;)

Used to have a '93 YJ myself that I bought off a farm and put a ludicrous amount of money into (it's a Jeep, right! :D).

If you're curious enough to click, there's my After/Before and a pic I took right before I sold it :c Getting excited though because my bf and I are awaiting the arrival of the 2014 JK's to get one <3 Couldn't stay away ;P

I saw this pic faved by a friend and it's awesome, but I couldn't help noticing you mention Hagerman Pass. My family has a cabin in the upper Fryingpan River valley and I have many memories of going to Leadville over that road while at the cabin. It's pretty awesome that your family has mining claims up there. :3

Awesome!!! Our claims are actually up St. Kevin's Gultch - pretty much directly across the lake from where Hagerman Pass joins back to the main paved road that goes around Turquoise lake. I think we ended up on the Fryingpan River Valley Road last time we drove over Hagerman pass by accident.. we were exploring some side roads and got caught in a freak snow-storm and kinda got lost... oops. We were able to find our way back from there, though! It's such an awesome area! Do you ever get back up to the cabin?

Yes, I go there at least three times every summer since I live down in Durango now. :3 Our cabin is on Fryingpan River road just a couple miles from where it turns to dirt as you head towards the pass. Turquoise Lake is very pretty, and the view down to the east from the summit of Hagerman is always awesome. I used to own a 91 YJ that was lifted 4 inches... wish I still had it just so I could take it up to the cabin and let it live there. The 4x4 trails up in that area are so much fun! Now I just want to buy another Jeep XD

Cool! We've only had the land a couple of years, so I haven't had a chance to do a whole lot of exploring yet.. We want to build a cabin eventually, but for now we've just got a camper. We just got it set up a few weekends ago, so hopefully now that we have a well established "base camp" we're going to take the four Wranglers (Mom, Dad, and sis all have TJs) and start exploring the area's Jeep trails. Can't wait!

You definitely need to get another Jeep! =3

Can also appreciate a fellow fur who enjoys the road you make yourself XD A vehicle like that deserves to be dirty, and I think is happier that way hehe

Hehe, yeah, my poor wrangler hasn't had a bath in a few years now... although at this point the paint is so thin, I think the dirt and dust is doing a better job of protecting it! XP
