This is my new watergun. Well, it's not exactly "new", it's actually rather old, circa 1997, but it's one of the best Super Soakers of all time! This is the CPS 2500. Due to a lawsuit against Larami toys, the first CPS model, the CPS 2000 was removed from the market. It was deemed too dangerous for children, which confuses me because children can have BB guns. This is the model which replaced it. It's the same size and design as the CPS 2000, but they've limited the amount of water pressure, not air pressure, that it can build up. The CPS series is unique in that unlike other Super Soaker series, it does not use air pressure, but water pressure instead. Pumping it pushes water into a sort of balloon in the front chamber, which is held there until the trigger is pressed. However mine has a tendency to leak, so it slowly loses pressure, and the chamber doesn't stay completely full, all the more reason to use it quickly, though filling the chamber allows the tank to be filled further, resulting in holding more water.
I placed an open Nintendo DS Lite next to the Super Soaker CPS 2500 to show scale, because I feel it's difficult to accurately capture how big this thing is. It is immense. According to official specs, it is 34.7 inches or .88 meters. Just under a yard long. It didn't come with a strap, so I used a strap from an old duffel bag I have.
