This reminds me of the "Parking Lot Kitties" that live near a bank in my village. There is a sizable colony in a small field just outside of the bank where they bathe in the sun all day and catch bugs. They are feral though, but the bankers continue to feed them.

So far they've stayed off the tarmac and taxiways, so they're perfectly welcome to continue keeping the mice out of our offices.
