Squirpies are best described as an apple pie with tortoise-like qualities. The head and limbs are composed of an apple-like material that tastes like apple as well, and the belly is a thick pie shell with apple filling inside. Its head's resemblance to an actual apple is reinforced by a growing stem in each of its evolutions. Squirpie isn't keen to being eaten and defends itself either by bashing with its head, which becomes more powerful as the head becomes tougher, or body-slamming with its pie belly. After evolving to Orchortle it seems to enjoy serving its own belly as dessert, after which its belly grows back after awhile. In fact Orchortle and its line can be easily calmed by complimenting its smell and taste. Orchortle evolves to Piestoise, in the process gaining a pair of candy cane cannons which fire giant cupcakes, which carry the odd property of self-feeding if fired at an unintentional target, likely to avoid accidentally harming anyone with the sheer force of a thick blob of icing.
