Thank you!
Yeah, because the workshop teacher suggested i put varnish over it, so now it's shiny like soap.
It's new to me too!I just did the clay sculpt as usual, then made a plaster cast out of it & filled it with cement.
It's really durable, but since i had to follow the armature & make it into one big lump with no empty, the anatomy & pose suffered
Anyway, my parents were very proud * uwu*

Unfortunately, to make something with a more dynamic pose and cast it, you have to do multiple molds. D:
But this one is simple enough to do with one it looks!
I used to glaze all my pieces, but now I don't.
I think matte sealant spray works on sculptures as well and makes them not shiny. Some are okay shiny, but not what I do.
This does look fine, though!

Yeah, i never sculpt the whole structure from one go, but since it was my teacher's suggestion, i went along with it.
We're making a new one next time, so i'll think of a symmetrical pose that works out better.
When doing one on my own. i may try to cast pieces sepparately, altho i'd need to learn how to join them afterwards.

Thanks * 'u'* yeah! With this technique, i can sculpt them in clay, but cast them in less fragile material!
I'd like to make nicole, bunnie, rouge the bat, miss lily...characters which are unavailable, or too costly.
They're just statues for now, but if i learn how to make joints, i could make polymer clay 'action figures' someday
