what program are you using hun? Perhaps i can give you some ideas? I started having the same issue as well..but..well i came accross a few intresting tricks..perhaps i can pass them on to you. ^__^

i'm using an apophysis called 2.07 beta
and i also use photoshop

Ok, I havn't a clue about the aphophysis, and photoshop i can barely use.
However, photoshop and psp are very simalar in many aspects...so....perhaps this might help.

Try skewing, polar quadrents, change lighting, if you have kaladiscope that could be intresting, mirror effect, use the copy tool and put pieces of it in other spots...make it into a geometric shape then stretch or skew it...

[this is one of those things that would be far easier for me to sit and show rather than explain]

In otherwords? at least in photoshop? [or if you ever get it, paintshop pro] just go Nuts on all the features.. exspecily distortion ones.
