This was a commission I did for a woman named Bri, she's friends with Bill Gibson who's Christine's (the movie car) owner who I know through the Christine Car Club. He referred her to me which was a bit of an honor. Bri asked me to draw a 'Cars' style caricature of her husband's beautiful gold 69' Charger 'the other woman' as a present for his birthday.

She ended up getting this for free, though I should have charged her for this in hind-sight. : T

I'd never drawn a Charger before, it was definitely fun to do and a nice challenge.. the car really has some interesting curves especially around the rear 'hips' area. I personally would have loved to have been tasked with drawing her with the eyes in the headlights, for those who don't know the headlights on these cars flip open in the front black part of the grille. I think functionally with the flipping headlights an interesting expression and eye-lid mechanic could have been made up. I've never really been a fan of the Pixar style car-eyes to begin with..

I really enjoyed finding a way of turning her chrome bumper into big sexy lips, with the bumper bars there in the middle it was a bit of a challenge!
