Since MFF 2008, I have tried (with mixed success) to get a sketch drawn for each con, of some memorable moment within. AC 2013's GGTS moment came on Saturday. The cause? Hubris. When I arrived from MattRat's place, where I was staying, I decided to leave my shoes in the car because surely I'd have no problems walking around in unpadded fursuit paws all day. Cue the Fursuit Parade. Then taking my Stormcall Spear down to the Dealer's Den to show Dark Natasha and to thank Heather Bruton for the awesome job she did painting it. That added up to four hours, and my feet hurt. But it was hot and humid out, and I didn't feel like trudging all the way out to the car to get my nice, padded shoes. That would be admitting defeat! So I tried to distract myself with a wander around the con to see if I could show off a little tai chi. Another two hours passed. Ow, ow, ow. No... still don't wanna go outside. It's hot and awful. Must... keep... going...

Eight hours. I did not trudge out to the car. I limped and hobbled out to the car like a crippled old man, having to sit down every hundred feet or so and try not to whimper. My shoes never felt so good in my life.

Then I found the massage tables set up in the Dealer's Den...
