I went on a hike today at a local park. I wanted to walk through the woods but mistakenly chose a path that went through a meadow. I try to avoid fields both because of the ticks and the fact I have no cover from the Sun's brutal rays. But what I thought was a bad thing turned out to be a good thing as I got to literally watch the rain approaching.
In a few moments the wind picked up, and as I stared into the distance I could both see and hear a curtain of rain approaching. It was as eerie as it sounds, and in an odd way very exhilarating. Just for fun I decided to try and outrun it. Needless to say, I lost pretty badly.
