Shes a beauty. I saw old clips of the stream line Coronation class engines. Think the designers of the streamline shrouds were lookin at porn mags when they drew them out. Heck if they were on Thomas The Tank Engine they would be ladies.

>_< ugh, don't talk about the streamlining I call it the bath tub, its horrible and it didn't do much for the engine, it added more weight and actually created more turbulence which slowed the loco down, the Duchess is so powerful it can produce 4000hp but if was never tested to its fullest because they couldn't shovel coal on it fast enough to get is up to full power. the streamlining made the class fail.

They certainly were mate, perhaps the best and certainly the most powerful British Steam loco ever made in Britain. Sutherland is my second favourite engine I have to say :)

Indeed. For me it has to the Britannia Class steamers that come next followed by my local faves the Kings and Castle steams of the GWR.
